Huachuca City Elementary School is located three miles from Fort Huachuca, Arizona, the home of the famous Buffalo Soldiers. We are 25 miles from Tombstone, 55 miles from the border town of Nogales, and 60 miles south of Tucson. Our climate is a big draw to the area and helps us attract the dedicated, talented staff of which we are so proud. Our location brings a very diverse group of students, from military dependents and workers at Fort Huachuca, to the children of local ranchers and suburbanites from Huachuca City. We have a current enrollment of 550 students.

One of our top priorities is to keep parents informed. We schedule at least two parent-teacher conferences yearly; we provide a school newsletter, a school handbook, and mid-term progress reports. We pay special attention to keeping parents informed about their student's academic, behavioral, and health/safety information. We know that education is a team process and that schools and parents must work closely to provide our students with the best possible educational environment. It is also our expectation that parents ensure that their children attend school ready to learn. Together we can give every student the chance to make the most of their educational experience.

We are proud of our outstanding staff here at Huachuca City Elementary School. If you need to contact someone directly, extension numbers are listed below. If you call a teacher while class is in session, a message will be taken and the teacher will return your call at the earliest opportunity.
